The process to stop AI would be as simple as hitting an off switch really. Of course we are not forced to use it. However, unfortunately, it's not likely that it will go away.
The way I see it AI is the ultimate death of creativity. Any real head start would be from not having used it; how can you learn how to think if you let a machine do all the thinking for you? I could go on but it feels pointless to delve into an argument. I believe both of us stand quite firmly where we are.

Personally I'm thankful newgrounds doesn't outright allow AI-generated content. I wish for a total ban of it.
Furthermore newgrounds seem to be pretty lenient towards AI. It is apparently okay to use AI to assist in your process. I've seen games with 100% AI-generated art and that is apparently fine too.
The rules aren't clear on it, they say it's a case by case basis:
"Our enforcement will be largely subjective as we get a handle on what cases are valid uses of AI and what cases are over-dependent on a computer doing the bulk of creative work."

Nothing can stop what is coming. AI will move into all areas of daily life whether we like it or not. The only decision we can still make ourselves is how we use this new technology. Everyone has to decide for themselves whether they want to be among the early adopters and thus have a head start over everyone else or whether they want to demonize AI until the end.
I see AI as an opportunity for creative or non-creative people to express themselves in a new way. In the future, everyone will suddenly be able to produce their own Hollywood movie or develop their own games with the help of AI.
